Minnie Driver: 'debuting' her post-baby bod
Minnie D. one week post-birth, looking remarkably slender.
Now here is an example of what I say all the time. Sure, some of these celebs get back in shape with trainers and nannies to watch the kids, etc, but many of them just have the genes to be thin, whether they've just had a baby or not. Here she is very slim one week postpartum. No trainer, no matter how skilled, can whip someone into shape in a week, so obviously this is just the way she is.
I actually have to disagree that Minnie's slim figure is "just the way she is" - I remember seeing films from early in her career and thinking it was nice that she was a bit fleshier than a lot of actresses (though not fat by any stretch of the imagination). Then Hollywood success beckoned, and she became noticably thinner - it was especially obvious in her face. I don't think it is necessarily her natural state to be very thin - like most people, she probably has to work really hard at it. I'm not judging her for that - rightly or wrongly, it's obviously part and parcel of the career she has chosen. I just think that, as women, we have to recognise that it is unrealistic to judge ourselves by Hollywood standards.

God help her if she looked like she'd just had a baby...
